Assistant Principal

A compelling leadership opportunity for a passionate and experienced Montessori educator

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Principal.

Working closely with the Principal and the Leadership Team, the position requires a commitment to the holistic development of students, ensuring a comprehensive dedication to the Montessori philosophy of education.

Commencement can be negotiated but should be no later than beginning of June 2024.

About you

You are a future-focused educational leader with an ambitious approach to the promotion of Montessori education. A passion for inspiring students and staff combined with a relentless desire to further the success of our school is vital. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of Forestville Montessori School (FMS).

Applicants must hold a university degree and recognised Montessori teaching qualifications for the 6-12 year age group. You will have considerable teaching and ideally, leadership experience. You are dedicated to finding ways to ensure every child thrives and that staff are empowered as a team, striving for a common vision. As a key leader within our School, it is essential that you can integrate with and embrace our school community quickly.

Applications are encouraged from highly experienced, suitably qualified educators with leadership experience or the desire to step into a leadership role. You may be an existing Assistant Principal looking for a new challenge. This role is an opportunity for candidates who wish to gain experience toward a longer-term future career as a Principal.

Working With Children Check

You will need a Working With Children application number and proof of identity to apply for a role at Forestville Montessori School.

To obtain a Working With Children Check application number, fill in the online application form at the Office of the Children’s Gaurdian.

If you cannot access the online system, call the customer service line on (02) 9286 7219 and a Customer Support Officer will complete the form for you.

When you have completed the application, you will receive an application number and will be required to verify yourself. You can verify your identity at a
Service NSW Centre.
